Assembly Technician - Aerospace Location: Denver, CO 80215 (Lakewood) Pay: $24 per hour Schedule: 1st Shift Job Description: We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Assembly Technician with experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing final parts by cleaning, inspecting, and treating machined components using a variety of tools and techniques. Key Responsibilities: Including but not limited to: *Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products *Grind, sand, clean, or polish objects or parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools *Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes *Verify quality of finished workpieces by inspecting them, comparing them to templates, measuring their dimensions, or testing them in working machinery *File grooved, contoured, and irregular surfaces of metal objects, such as metalworking dies and machine parts, to conform to templates, other parts, layouts, or blueprint specifications *Apply solutions and chemicals to equipment, objects, or parts, using hand tools *Operate manual mill and/or lathe Qualifications: *Soldering experience; Certification of IPC-610(preferred) and J-STD-001, or willing to obtain upon hire *Eligible or already have security clearance (highly desirable) *Able to read blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions. *Ability to use hand tools including deburring blades, scraper handles, Dremel’s, rotary brushes, sanders and grinders. *Good hand dexterity and coordination is necessary as products and components are typically very small. *Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow step-by-step instructions *Ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.) *Able to carry out tasks that require steady, precise arm movement for taping/masking parts For more information, please call Ms. Alana Ortiz at (720) 419-2303. A production worker operates factory equipment such as press brakes and roll forming equipment, works on a production line, uses mechanical equipment to create and inspect products, and adheres to all factory safety guidelines, quality and productivity standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Production Worker: • Adheres to all safety guidelines in the production area and in handling of materials in the factory. • Starts assigned assembly and production machinery at beginning of shift. • Makes sure that workstation is clean and free of hazardous materials. • Cleans equipment. • Inspects assembled products to ensure they are up to quality standards. • Keeps production floor clean. • Reports issues or problems with production equipment to immediate supervisor. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Strong attention to detail. • Is able to identify problems or malfunctions with machinery and equipment. • Demonstrates analytical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to troubleshoot production issues. • Is familiar with all factory safety procedures and guidelines. • Works efficiently and manages time effectively. • Possesses physical strength and stamina required to stand, walk, and lift (up to and including 50 lbs.) for long periods of time. Education and Experience: • High school diploma or GED is preferred. • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or warehouse setting is recommended. Work Environment: • Standard 40-hour workweek applies. (Overtime as required by management) • Working hours will be spent in the factory or warehouse, (Minimal heating and cooling.) • Moderate to heavy physical activity such as walking and lifting (up to and including 30 lbs.) is required on a daily basis. • Safety gear, such as goggles, gloves, and sleeves must be worn on a daily basis. Conduct quality checks using measuring equipment. • Package parts as specified to ensure proper and safe handling of the product. • Log all rejects on the Attribute Charts. • Review the operator inspection procedure before taking over any job. • Label all boxes after packaging to ensure proper handling of parts. • Ability to use basic measuring Equipment. • Degate and trim parts as required using secondary machinery to accomplish. • Ability to perform secondary operations such as gluing, welding, trimming, and some assembly. • Ability to use part count scale.
