Job Duties include but are not limited to: • Engine diagnostics and troubleshooting • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems, including the engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and more • Perform engine diagnostics and troubleshooting to ensure optimal engine performance • Tune automotive engines for optimal performance • Communicate with the Shop Foreman about necessary repairs and provide time estimates Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic, with a focus on performance tuning and diagnostics • Proficient in operating Dynapack and other chassis dynamometers for performance testing and tuning • Knowledgeable in electronic fuel injection system development, diagnosis, and troubleshooting • Experience with basic internal engine repair, rebuilds, and setup procedures • Expertise in turbocharger, wastegate, and intercooler system development and tuning • Strong electrical experience, including working with automotive electrical systems and wiring • Basic computer and internet skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Available to work full-time (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday), with willingness to work overtime when needed Preferred: • Strong expertise in MoTeC and other engine management system tuning and calibration for high-performance and exotic vehicles • Experience working on Porsche vehicles, including performance upgrades and system tuning Our Benefits Include: • Medical, Dental, and Vision • Paid Vacation • 401K Job Title: Tuning Technician Job Type: Full-time Compensation: starts at $35/hour BOE This is a non-exempt, hourly position. Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years Auto body experience. • Preferred knowledge of Restoration style of bodywork • Knowledge of anti-corrosion treatments, substrate identification, surface preparation, undercoat product mixing and application. • Ability to remove and install bolt-on components. • Ability to perform substrate preparation mechanically or chemically. • Knowledge of vehicle body construction and fitting components together. • Skilled use of specialized alignment tools and welding equipment. Operate and maintain shop machinery, equipment, hand, and power tools safely and efficiently. Work with a range of materials including wood, sheet goods, metals, plastics, and hardware. Prepare and track tools, equipment, and materials for assigned projects. Collaborate in improvements on build methods and technical solutions. Accurately forecast and communicate task completion timelines. Support daily shop operations, including material prep, assembly, finishing, and staging. Ability to read and follow technical drawings, plans, blueprints, and sketches with accuracy. Competency with shop machinery, hand tools, and power tools.
