Job Summary: The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality CT scans and assisting with diagnostic imaging procedures. This role involves ensuring patient safety, preparing patients for procedures, and maintaining equipment. The CT Technologist collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care. Key Responsibilities: Perform CT scans on patients as ordered by physicians, ensuring adherence to protocols and safety standards. Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns. Operate and maintain CT equipment, ensuring functionality and compliance with safety regulations. Administer contrast media and monitor patients for any adverse reactions. Assist in positioning patients correctly to obtain the best images for diagnosis. Review images for quality and completeness before submitting them to radiologists. Document all procedures and patient interactions accurately in the medical record. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to infection control practices. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. Stay current with advancements in CT technology and continuing education requirements. Requirements Qualifications: Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field. Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography; CT certification preferred. State licensure as required. Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in CT imaging. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for obtaining high quality images as requested from medical professionals for use in the development of patient treatment plans, in a manner that places emphasis on quality patient care. You can expect to regularly: Operate radiologic equipment to produce radiographic images of patients’ specific body parts as requested by medical professionals, including using C-arm and fluoroscopy imaging; Adjust equipment and determine proper voltage, current, desired exposure time and distance for optimal images; Screen patients for radiologic imaging safety, explain the process and address patient concerns prior to performing scanning; Position patients for images using immobilization and protective equipment, including immobilizing patient, removing braces, splints or bandages and positioning lead shields, to comply with government regulations and ensure patient and staff safety; Evaluate images for technical quality; Document imaging performed, appropriate charges and other necessary information in patients’ electronic medical records and Patient Archive Communication System (PACS); Maintain quality control measures in accordance with American College of Radiology guidelines; Follow quality assurance guidelines including positioning, markers, demographics, and coning to ensure optimal images before releasing image to physician; Prepare radiology department daily including cleaning, stocking, and sanitizing work areas and equipment; Provide customer service and patient care, maintain confidentiality, and abide by HIPAA requirements; Remain calm in high-stress environments; Maintain regular attendance and punctuality to minimize impacts to clinic staffing schedules. Requirements Certifications/Education High School Diploma or GED; Radiologic Technologist Certification through American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT); Current Nevada State Radiologic Technologist license; Knowledge of: Radiology safety procedures and protocols; HIPAA and OSHA regulations/procedures; Experience: Using computer systems and applications; Communicating effectively with patients, physicians, and other medical staff. We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our busy surgical center.  This role involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures with precision, ensuring high-quality results, and maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout the process.  The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating portable radiographic units and mobile C-arm equipment to assist patient care team members in delivering exceptional care.  This position requires a commitment to safety, accuracy, and respect for patient rights and dignity.   HOURS This would be a PRN position to assist with coverage when the schedule dictates or to cover when staff are out.
