About the position: Nisei is looking for individuals that are highly motivated, possess a positive attitude, dedicated to the hospitality industry, humble, team players, a desire to learn, respectful and honest. Prospective hires must have a minimum of 2 years cooking experience to apply. We are looking for a Chef de Partie with a desire to learn about Japanese food and help us push the envelope to what Japanese food can be. The job will include learning about Japanese knife skills, Japanese cooking techniques, a base level of sushi preparation, Japanese confections, avant-garde cooking techniques using hydro-colloids and modern preparations. Looking for a dependable person who can work early morning hours to greet and serve our customers. Duties include prepping and serving from the hot line, grilling items as needed, and making sandwiches. The cafeteria is in a factory setting, and we serve two meals daily. Looking for a dynamic new addition to our small team and our small family owned distillery in downtown Petaluma! We make grain-to-glass spirits at our distillery, and serve cocktails/tastings using these spirits in our barrel room tasting area. We are a small squad, and everyone wears many hats: responsibilities include making craft cocktails for visitors, pouring spirit flight tastings and talking about our spirits with customers, taking customer orders, using our POS system to charge orders through and handle club membership issues. Bartenders are also responsible for cleaning after shift, and light food service work (plating and serving desserts and small bites we serve with our cocktails). We need a friendly, multi tasking, hardworking person with a passion for what we make who can handle different parts of serving/ bartending/ and hosting. We are currently looking to fill a Wednesday shift, 4:30pm- 10pm, Friday shift 6pm- 11:30pm, Saturday shift 6- 11:30, and Sunday shift 3- 8:30. You must be able to lift 50lbs and work on your feet. Bartending, Spirits Knowledge, and/or Serving experience are a plus but not required - we can teach anyone, but you must have a passion for our industry and have a good comfort level interacting with customers.
