We're seeking a new kitchen team member to join our team at Re/creation Cafe, a unique art and music cafe in Mid City. Line Cook: Part-time employment working 3-4 shifts per week. Must be available to work nights and weekends with at least four years of experience working on a line in a restaurant or cafe. Looking for someone that is a great team player, has a positive attitude, and is willing to work in various roles when needed. The job requires prep work and line cook experience. English and Spanish speaking is a plus. Experience baking also a plus. Re/creation Cafe is an elevated fast casual art and music cafe in Mid City (near Culver City & K-town) serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We are open Tuesday through Sunday. We are looking for team members who are dedicated, reliable, great team players with a positive attitude, have excellent customer service, and attention to quality. Wipe down and reset tables with proper place settings (napkins, cutlery, glassware). Refill water glasses as needed. Assist in pre-bussing during service to keep tables uncluttered. Dining Room & Service Support Keep floors, chairs, and service areas clean and presentable. Carry food trays to and from kitchen when servers need support. Help servers by delivering bread, water, or condiments. Respond promptly when guests need extra napkins, cutlery, or high chairs. Back of House Support Bring dirty dishes and glassware to dishwashing area. Sort and organize dishes, utensils, and glassware properly for dishwashers. Restock service stations with napkins, utensils, water pitchers, and condiments. Teamwork & Hospitality Work closely with servers and hosts to ensure smooth service. Anticipate guest needs and act proactively (quietly and efficiently). Be attentive but not intrusive; move quickly and professionally. End of Shift Duties Reset dining room for next service (tables, chairs, floors, service stations). Restock supplies: napkins, utensils, condiments, water pitchers. Dispose of trash, recyclables, and linens in designated areas. We are a very busy music bar in need of hard working and reliable barbacks. Able to lift more than 40lbs. Able to manage staircases carrying beer cases, empty bottles, heavy garbage, ice buckets and liquor bottles. Capable of moving beer kegs in the cooler. Michael's Restaurant, media, entertainment, celebrity watering hole, now in our 36th year of business, seeks qualified servers with excellent fine dining skills.
