Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Perform all job duties with health safety and food safety as the number one priority. Prepares totes, pallets, and slip-sheets for use. Monitors the levels of peanuts in the finishing bins. Operates the bagger station effectively and efficiently. Hangs totes and operates the HMI and handheld scanner to fill totes to customer specifications. Maintains a solid line of communication with the control room operator and federal state employees to ensure the correct product is bagged and labeled correctly. Performs metal detector checks multiple time throughout the day to ensure all metal is removed from the product. Changes sizing screens out multiple times a day to ensure peanut sizing is correct. Follows all FOOD Safety requirements. Performs all work accident free. Completes all paperwork for this department and turns it in to the Shift Supervisor. Including metal detector check, lot log list and magnet checks. Follows all GMPs. Is responsible for making sure equipment is properly maintained and cleaned per OEM requirements to minimize downtime and maximize throughput. Communicates with Maintenance Team Leads about any problems with the equipment to ensure maintenance is performed correctly. Observes operation to detect malfunctions of equipment. Stops process and reports malfunction to supervisor. Performs any other tasks assigned by the Shift Supervisor. Sheet Metal Technician (Ballard)
Position summary: Operate CNC press brake and laser cutting equipment, in both a prototyping and production capacity. Conduct “job shop” sheet metal work to fulfill new or existing production orders, on a recurring and repeat basis, according to required delivery schedules. In addition to production work, conduct R&D sheet metal work, in the form of short run/one-off projects to prototype new designs as they are created, and provide design input and feedback as applicable to improve and help create new designs. Manage the production schedule and keep a running priority of existing and upcoming work to ensure deadlines are met, for both R&D and production jobs. Employee is expected to carry a manufacturing project from raw material, through production, to packaging and prep for shipping. Ideal applicant has experience in welding, as well as other manufacturing processes like fastener installation and using hand/power tools, although these abilities can be trained on the job to a certain extent. Primary materials to be used are mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum, with potential to use additional materials as required. Employee may be needed to deliver parts directly to clients, generally located in the greater Seattle area. It is an “R&D machinist” with a designer’s mind, who is a problem solver, conceptual thinker, and who is eager to figure it out, through individual effort as well as in collaboration with the team. This position will be largely centered around programming and machining custom parts in one-off or small batch quantity, which may need redesign or rework as the project progresses. Medium-sized, production-style machining projects may also be required. Most parts are designed from scratch by in-house designers, and this position will require fluency with CAD software (Solidworks), not just CAM, as it is expected that machinists can conceptualize and draw a design in CAD, not just carry out the steps to machine it.
