We have an immediate opening for a candidate who can be a driver as well as a working/driving manager for our shipping department. We are a family-owned commercial cabinet company in downtown Richmond with our own box trucks, and we are looking to a hire a full-time, permanent driver immediately, and preferably someone who could also assume leadership of the department. Duties will include (but are not limited to) the following: wrap/load cabinets and countertops into the trucks as they are parked at our dock, deliver them to the job site, and help unload them. Manager duties would include directing staff, organizing loads and schedules, coordinating with clients and project managers, etc. Job sites are mostly in the Richmond area/central Virginia area, but some sites can be as far away as DC or North Carolina. Driving duties will also include driving to pick up materials from various vendors in the area. Pay rate will be based on experience, and the range will be between $22-$27/hour. This is an hourly position, and you will be required to work OT (evenings/weekends) on a regular basis. Qualified applicants will have related experience, a current VA drivers license and a clean driving record. You will need to pass an extensive background check as well, as some of our deliveries are on military bases. Benefits will include but are not limited to a matching 401K and paid time off.
