After-School Elementary Assistant (Bothell)

Since 1983, our mission has been to empower students from Toddler through High School with a holistic Montessori education that emphasizes independence, empathy, self-advocacy, and flexibility. Our campuses in Bothell and Woodinville, WA serve a diverse community of lifelong learners, and we are looking for passionate individuals to join our team. The After-School Elementary Assistant will work in a collaborative team setting and be given opportunities to develop the competencies needed to support the student's development. of independence, concentration, abstract thinking, and organizational skills are a direct or indirect aim of many of the class activities. The Bothell campus is conveniently located off I-405 just north of State route 522. This part-time, academic-year position starts as soon as possible, with the hours of Monday – Friday 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. at the Bothell campus. As the ideal candidate, you will: Possess keen awareness of the functioning of the whole while also paying attention to individual and small group needs. Be committed to excellent communication with students, staff, and the school leadership team. Exhibit a high degree of organization and attention to detail and an understanding of how to convey this to students. Demonstrate a deep understanding of current research in human development and learning in support of the Montessori educational approach and enjoyment of children. Contribute positively to the school community beyond the job specific tasks, including active cross-level collaboration with a can-do attitude. Qualifications: High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree is preferable. One or more years’ classroom experience. Commitment to professional development and best practices in education. Commitment to meeting the needs of each student. Salary & Benefits: The salary range is $22 - $24 per hour, dependent on education, training, and experience. Benefits include paid time off, and professional development allowance.
