The facilitator will provide service recipients high-quality community integration training, volunteer opportunities, and employment development and exploration. Conducts client contacts, schedules, and weekly activities consistent with the client's Individual Service Plan (ISP) long- and short-term goals. A facilitator will also assist the client and other planning team members with the intake and assessment process if the Program requires it. Depending on the physical needs of clients, some self-care assistance, such as toileting and feeding, may be necessary to support the client's success. Client Facilitator reports to assistant director. Client Facilitator supervises no other staff in the facility. Minimum qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must Pass Health Screening and TB test. Must be first Aid and CPR certified. Must pass Criminal Record Clearance (DOJ and FBI Background check) High school diploma or at least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Experience is essential, but motivated & enthusiastic individuals, who lack experience in the field, but are eager to work in a rewarding social services area, will receive the necessary orientation. Applicant must have reliable transportation and proof of insurance. Throughout employment. Must have a valid California Driver's license, have 24 months of driving experience. Valid CA Driver's License with a clean driving record Immediate access to the vehicle with working seatbelts to transport participants Are knowledgeable of SDRC referral and funding procedures. This position assists the Resident Manager with the physical maintenance of the project and equipment as it pertains to the common areas, grounds and individual units. Job tasks include but may not be limited to the following • Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the community by ensuring that grounds, amenities, building exteriors/interiors, market-ready units interior, walkways, curbs, signage, leasing office, central garbage areas, parking lots and other buildings and common areas are free of debris, trash, graffiti and other items which affect the appearance of the community. All deficiencies and safety issues are reported immediately. • Respond to resident requests for maintenance and service by taking appropriate action to repair and/or restore service within the quality and time standards established by the company. • Ensure that apartments are ready for occupancy by performing any repairs that may require electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, carpet cleaning, painting, patching, texturing, basic apartment cleaning and other miscellaneous equipment maintenance and repairs. • Maintain tools and equipment and ensure that they are in proper working order and request replacements as necessary. • Make sure all outside contractors or subcontractors provide certificates of insurance for workers compensation insurance or waivers when applicable and provide proof of a contractor’s license. • Know the location of the main water line cutoff, all apartment and fixture cutoffs, main gas line cutoff, and the sewer cleanouts. • Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning windows, dusting, emptying wastebaskets, picking up litter, etc. Experience, Knowledge and Skills: • Maintenance experience in the multi-family, hospitality, or similar industry • Competency in residential plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting, and drywall • Knowledge of and experience in HVAC and carpentry a plus • Customer service experience
