In this position, you will help keep the presses running by organizing and stacking freshly printed items as they come off the press. As a press worker, you are part of a team. You'll help organize the finished work that comes off the presses and then help clean up once the various jobs are finished. This position is entry-level with paid training. Beginning pay starts at $17.00 per hour with opportunities for daily/weekly overtime. We promote from within the company, and there are opportunities for rapid advancement. Signature Graphics is a locally-owned, full-service heatset and coldset commercial printer with direct mail advertising and graphic design businesses located in NE Portland, Oregon with approximately 150 employees. The Finishing General Worker loads paper advertisements onto an inserting machine hopper and/or removes inserted paper products from the inserter machine and bundles copies using a strapping machine, then stacks finished product onto pallets. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our small winery team! At Fingers Crossed, you will have the opportunity to get your hands dirty and participate in the entire process of transforming grapes into wine. A typical workday includes equipment sanitation, grape sorting, fermentation, barrel prep, pump overs and punch downs. The successful candidate must be dependable, self-motivated, work well both individually as well as in a team environment, possess a strong work ethic and attention to detail. This is a physically demanding job, and applicants should be able to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, and work long shifts standing up. During harvest (October-November), one must be available to work nights and weekends as needed. After harvest concludes, we return to a typical M-F (40hr) work week. While previous experience in winemaking is encouraged, a positive and hard-working attitude is the only requirement - we are happy to train and teach you everything needed to grow and succeed with us! DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES - Participate in all aspects of the winemaking process from grape to bottle, cleaning, packing and shipping. QUALIFICATIONS - Familiarity in a winery is encouraged but not required. - Forklift certification is valued but not required. - Bilingual is great.
