Job Summary This position will be responsible for all legal aspects of claim handling related to Workers Compensation, Third Party Liens, and Insurance Collections. Job responsibilities: provide legal support for Insurance Recoveries Third Party Liability, and Workers’ Compensation, maintain assigned accounts to ensure timely case resolution, coordinate and develop action plans for group and individual claims in coordination with department leadership, participate in claim negotiations and settlements at all levels, draft and review legal documents to support legal citations in claim resolution, provide ongoing education/training on legal aspects and changes in laws that impact claim recovery outcomes, assist non attorneys with case management, perform legal research, and perform miscellaneous related duties, as required. Qualifications · Juris Doctorate Degree · Admission to California State bar · Experience with healthcare claim adjudication regulations and industry practices for health benefit and accident claims, required.
