Physical Services Supervisor (Colchester)

The Facilities Department at Saint Michael’s College is seeking applications for a full-time Physical Services Supervisor. The position will manage several smaller departments within Physical Services to include; Grounds. Shipping & Receiving, Mechanic and Special Services. The position is Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm with the need for overtime and working off hours/days at times. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Responsible for and assists with the maintenance of the campus grounds throughout the year including lawn care, snow removal, campus litter, etc… - Responsible for and assists with the maintenance of the athletic fields including game field preparation and line striping - Responsible for managing the department’s operational budget - Addresses and/or assigns daily work orders Our lived experience impacts how we self-assess our skills, experience, and qualifications. The hourly rate for this position is up to $27.88 - $29.91 based on experience. Requirements: Applicants should have the following: - High school diploma plus some post-secondary education, work experience, or specialized training - 3-5 years of supervisory experience required - 5-7 years of grounds experience required - Knowledge of athletic game field preparation preferred - Knowledge of tree, plant and flower species and care preferred - State of Vermont Non-Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification, Class A&B, preferred - Valid driver's license and must be able to successfully pass driving record check.
