Crew Lead / Foreman – Residential & Commercial Painting (South Shore MA)

We’re looking for a Crew Lead / Foreman who not only knows painting but can thrive in a culture of accountability, technology, and professionalism. Cultural fit – must be willing to comply with company systems, values, and standards. Responsibilities Lead and supervise a crew of 2–4 painters/helpers. Submit daily updates, photos, and metrics via company apps/software. Communicate progress and issues to the owner in real-time. Handle prep work: sanding, masking, caulking, patching. Perform painting: cutting, rolling, spraying. Set up, operate, and maintain sprayers (airless; HVLP a plus). Power wash, scrape, or repair surfaces as needed. Ensure jobsites are safe, organized, and spotless at the end of each day. Train helpers and delegate tasks to maximize efficiency. Provide daily client updates on progress and next steps. Maintain equipment and supplies (brushes, sprayers, ladders) in good condition. Ensure the team has supplies needed at all times — designate a helper for runs or go themselves if necessary. Resolve problems on site or escalate quickly to avoid downtime. Hold crew accountable for productivity and quality standards. Complete jobs on schedule and to company expectations. Requirements 5+ years painting experience (residential interiors/exteriors). Prior foreman or crew leader experience strongly preferred. Must be willing to carry ladders, power wash, spray, and do what it takes. Must know how to use and maintain sprayers (airless required; HVLP a plus). Must be comfortable with smartphones, apps, and reporting software. Driver’s license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders/scaffolding when needed. Confidence, positivity, professionalism, and respect for company culture are non-negotiable. Pay & Benefits $27–$30/hr depending on experience. Steady year-round work (interior season locked in).
