Artist experiencing complex illness and chemical/electrical sensitivities seeking a highly compassionate, extremely organized, diligent, detail-oriented person with a passion for helping to join our small, kind team immediately. PLEASE NOTE: This is a temporary position, as I am visiting Conifer/Denver for medical care. It is currently unknown how long I will be here, but at least through October, and potentially longer. While certainly not a requirement, there may be an opportunity to make the position long term if you are interested in traveling to other medical destinations and/or relocating to Santa Fe, NM, where I typically reside. TASKS: • Running errands • Grocery shopping • Help with lifting, carrying, etc • Small fix-it jobs • Other general help around the house • Caring for a very sweet and easily managed 25lb dog • Laundry • Cleaning/Dishes • Food prep & medication assistance • Home organization • Driving to doctor’s appointments • Optional higher responsibility tasks*, depending on interest/skill, such as; inbox assistance, medical advocacy, scheduling and tracking of various appointments, etc YOU MUST: • Be a skilled communicator, and fluent in both written and spoken English • Be highly organized and detail oriented • Be a team player with a positive attitude • Anticipate needs and be able to keep the household running smoothly • Be dependable, trustworthy, and able to commit to our agreed upon schedule and period of work • Be able to accommodate someone with noise, chemical, and electrical sensitivities; this includes using natural and unscented personal products (incl. laundry detergent) • Leave your phone and other electronics off or in the car while working • Be physically able to perform required tasks (i.e. climb ladder, carry groceries, lift/carry cases of glass water bottles, etc.) • Be comfortable with and able to incorporate consistent feedback Hours/Schedule: Approximately 35-40hrs per week. Exact days and times are somewhat flexible until a set schedule is agreed upon, but shifts will generally be Monday-Friday starting around noon. Please note that flexibility is both requested from you and afforded to you in case of illness, emergencies, vacations, etc. Location: Primary location is my rental home in Conifer, 5min from Natural Grocers. Errands and groceries could involve drives into the greater Denver area (most likely Littleton, Lakewood, etc). Compensation: $25/hr. Mileage during work is reimbursed at the standard national rate. Starting pay is non-negotiable, though there are opportunities for promotion. *Once excelling in the position, if you are interested in and well suited for the optional higher responsibility tasks (noted under "Tasks"), this would increase hourly pay and could also increase weekly hours if desired.
