Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood development. This role involves supporting the lead teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our daycare facility. The Daycare Assistant will engage with children, assist in daily activities, and help foster their social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Duties: - Assist in the daily care of infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. - Implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. - Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and structured environment. - Monitor children's behavior and provide guidance on social interactions. - Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas. - Collaborate with lead teachers to develop individualized plans for children with special needs or disabilities. - Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns. - Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to childcare and early childhood education. Requirements: - Experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting is preferred. - Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. - Familiarity with behavior management techniques. - First aid certification is a plus. - Experience in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is desirable. - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff. - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. - A nurturing attitude towards children and a commitment to their well-being. - Previous experience in preschool settings, toddler care, or infant care is highly valued. - Background in teaching, caregiving, nannying, or babysitting is beneficial.
