Baywire Electric is expanding and looking for dependable, driven electricians to join our team. We take pride in delivering clean, code-compliant work — and we’re especially seeking individuals with strong service experience in residential and light commercial work. If you’re familiar with smart home upgrades, smart panels, energy storage batteries, panel upgrades, lighting retrofits, and advanced troubleshooting, we want to hear from you. We also offer in-house technical and sales training to help you grow your skills, close more work, and stay current with evolving technology. 💼 Positions Available: Journeyman Electricians – CA certified, capable of running jobs, reading plans, and leading a crew Apprentice Electricians – Mid-level with field experience and a desire to grow Electrical Trainees – Must have a valid ET card and a minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on experience ⚡ Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) Perform service work, remodels, diagnostics, and upgrades in residential and light commercial settings Read blueprints, one-line diagrams, and wiring schematics Install and program Lutron dimmers/switches, smart load centers, storage batteries, and lighting controls Complete panel upgrades, lighting retrofits, and EV charger installations Troubleshoot electrical issues using meters and diagnostic tools Upsell additional services and equipment when appropriate — part of your role is to educate customers and offer value-driven solutions Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and professionally Follow OSHA and company safety protocols at all times 💵 Compensation & Bonus Opportunities: Base Pay: $25–$55/hr depending on certification and experience Commission-Based Bonuses: Techs earn bonus payouts up to $1,000 per job by upselling approved electrical upgrades Common upsells include: panel upgrades, smart panels, EV chargers, lighting retrofits, smart switches Quarterly Performance Bonuses: $500 for techs who generate over $20,000 in upsell revenue per quarter $250 runner-up bonus for techs with $15,000–$19,999 in quarterly upsells Sales Training Provided: Learn how to identify and present upgrade opportunities the right way — no pressure sales, just honest recommendations that improve safety and functionality 📈 What We Offer: Steady work across the Bay Area Base pay plus commission Technical and sales training Supportive, growth-oriented work environment Career advancement opportunities PPE and select tools provided Weekly pay through payroll ✅ Requirements: Valid CA Journeyman Certification or ET card (depending on role) Minimum 2–3 years of relevant field experience required Must have basic hand tools and reliable transportation Strong communication skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and with a team Commitment to safety, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction 📬 How to Apply: Send your resume or work history, certification level, desired pay rate, and availability directly to the email in this job post and we will contact you at our earliest convenience About Baywire Electric: Baywire Electric is a licensed, bonded, and insured electrical contractor based in Santa Clara, CA.
