Description: Direct Support Professionals (DSP) support people who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities in their own homes and communities. DSPs provide the supports people need to live self-directed lives, including caregiver supports like food prep, personal care, and following support plans. In this position, you assist someone to go out and have fun, maintain their home, plan meals, cook, follow personal health routines, and achieve their dreams! Maintain open communication with the case manager regarding skill assessment and goal planning activities. - Develop training tools and techniques in coordination with case manager to address identified client needs. - Maintain all documentation pertaining to visits and activities as consistent with agency policy. - Conduct site visits as needed and directed by Supervisor. - Attendance at weekly supervision and staff meetings. - Remain current with all Agency required compliance documents and trainings. - Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Three years experience working in a similar setting/and or working with people with mental illness. Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Rehabilitation, Social Work or other related mental health discipline preferred.
