We are seeking a safety-minded Interstate / Long Distance Driver (CDL not required) for full-time employment to be a key contributor in assuring our services meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations. Truck Driver Responsibilities • Drive long distances to deliver goods to customers. • Load and unload cargo, packing and handling artwork. • Record cargo deliveries • Refuel and maintain clean vehicle (fleet is fueled & serviced by Ryder) • Report road incidents to the dispatcher and follow traffic laws. • Inspect trucks and record issues and maintain an activities / hour’s log via ELD • Follow accident reporting procedures. • Report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel. • Maintain a positive attitude with customers. • Keep driver license & medical card up to date and maintain a safe driving record at all times. Qualifications • Two years truck driving experience and a clean safety record & MVR • No DUI/DWI convictions in the past seven-year, insurance requirement • Minimum of high school degree or equivalent; minimum 21 years of age • Knowledge of cargo securement, safe handling practices, and experience with fragile cargo is a plus. • Dependable, presentable and legible handwriting; ability to work a as team driver. • Good listening and verbal communication skills Physical Requirements/Work Environment • Regular and predictable attendance • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds as part of the daily activity. • Ability to work extended periods of standing, bending, lifting and/or driving. • Drug Free environment / safe work environment • Full –time work – not GIG work.
