POSITION TITLE: School Counselor/Therapist CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time DIVISION: School Based Outpatient REPORTS TO: School Directors SUMMARY: The School Counselor/Therapist will be responsible for providing mental health services to assigned clients including individual, family and group therapy. The applicant will provide consultation services to the school staff to support the overall mental health goals of the school. Clinical supervision for Prelicense Associates is provided onsite as Arise Educational Center. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provides direct mental health services to include intake assessment, individual/family/group therapy, and crisis intervention to assigned clients 2. Maintains regular contact with the parent/guardian of each client (if appropriate) 3. Completes master treatment plans, treatment plan updates, managed care authorizations and all chart requirements. 4. Participate in IEP's and complete all Behavioral Support Plans for assigned clients. 5. Provides consultation for school staff regarding mental health issues of clients. 6. Participates in the collection of mental health information and student outcomes data to be used for monitoring the overall performance and effectiveness of services provided. 7. Provides complete and timely documentation to support services rendered 8. Maintains 70% direct service requirement 9.
