ABLE is a family owned and operated business that provides day-program and residential services for adults with disabilities in our community. We foster an environment of inclusivity and strive to give our clients meaningful experiences every day. If you are new to our world, here is a breakdown of the ABLE Day Program: Working hours are Tuesday- Friday, 7:30am-5ish. That’s right! No Mondays, no nights, no holidays, no weekends. Our Director creates a monthly calendar full of exciting, educational, and recreational outings. Clients choose what they would like to do, and Direct Support Professionals take them to do it. Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are the driving force of our day program. DSPs drive ABLE vehicles to and from client’s homes and to outings. Outings include bowling, museums, yoga, libraries, dining at restaurants, crafting, and so much more! DSPs help clients navigate outings by assisting with social norms, money management, social skills, and help them to engage in activities. We are always looking for new places to explore and new skills to learn! The clients we service: Our clients include adults with Down Syndrome, Autism, CP, Seizure d/o etc. and they will fill your day with laughter! Our client’s range in age from 18-82. ABLE Day Program is a safe space for them to be themselves while providing opportunities to learn and grow. DSPs play an important role in helping clients feel accepted and thrive out in the community. The Dream Team: Our team is a living example that by working together we can create a better life experience for everyone. Our DSPs are a fun, inclusive, and supportive group of people coming from all walks of life and various industries. No experience needed. We provide training! The part that’s not all fun & games… DSPs are responsible for supporting clients that need assistance with daily living activities such as eating and using the restroom. We provide all training on how to assist clients in these areas. Q-mapped DSPs give medication, provide first aid, administer G-tube feedings, and document according to ABLE’s policies and procedures. All DSPs are given the opportunity to get Q-mapped and grow professionally. ABLE also provides opportunities for growth within the company. We want to grow and keep our talented team! DSP Requirements include: • Must be at least 21 years of age to drive/18 year+ welcome to apply • High School Diploma/GED • Must have a clean driving record and background check. CO Driver’s license needed. • Starting wage $18/hr-$20/hr – Full Time employees are eligible for PTO after 90 days, along with medical with Kaiser Permanente, Delta Dental, paid sick time and a simple IRA. Job Requirements: Skills, Knowledge and Abilities SKILLS are required to perform single, technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.
