





San Francisco Wine Society is seeking experienced servers and sommeliers to join our team for a busy holiday season filled with wine-focused private events. This is a temporary position through the holidays, with the possibility of becoming a permanent role for the right candidate as we are launching a new private event space in early November. Ideal candidates will have: Previous fine dining or upscale wine bar experience Strong wine knowledge (CMS, WSET, or equivalent background preferred) A warm, hospitality-first approach and professional demeanor The ability to multi-task gracefully in a fast-paced environment A genuine enthusiasm for creating memorable guest experiences Responsibilities include: Providing wine service, engaging guests with friendly, knowledgeable conversation Passing small plates during receptions and tastings Welcoming guests and assisting with check-in for private events Maintaining a polished, professional presence and anticipating guest needs throughout the event Assisting with setup and breakdown of the events Schedule & Compensation: Part-time, both afternoon and evening events Temporary position (November – January), with potential to become permanent Hourly plus tips If you’re passionate about wine and hospitality, we’d love to meet you.
