You will be working on a Monday through Friday schedule from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with opportunities for overtime. Your daily responsibilities will include interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting steel pieces with precision, and fitting them together using specialized welding techniques. Qualifications for Structural Steel Fitter/Fabricator: · Experience interpreting blueprints, measuring, cutting, fitting, and welding structural steel. Understanding of pre-heat functions to ensure optimal welding performance. · Proficiency in setting up and using a track torch is required to efficiently cut steel pieces to size. As part of our commitment to safety and quality, you must pass all tack tests for F.A.C.W. (Flux Core) welding and work in compliance with our safety policies and procedures. · Flexibility is key in this role, as you must be willing to work any schedule required, including overtime and Saturdays as needed. · Must be able to safely use hand/power tools and PPE · Must be able to perform job duties that require standing, crouching, twisting upper body, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted. · Position requires the use of PPE, including: Steel-Toe work boots, safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves.
