San Francisco Baking Institute is hiring a new team member. This role will primarily work in a bakery kitchen with a small team of bakers. Ideal candidates will have commercial bread baking experience and good communication skills. Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee production of bread, Viennoiserie and pastry for our retail bakeries. ‱ Produce bread, Viennoiserie and pastry according to the formulas and schedule ‱ Follow the formula and production protocol explicitly, carefully weigh and measure all ingredients as specified ‱ Maintain product quality, troubleshoot when issue arises ‱ Coordinate with other team members to create a daily plan and timeline ‱ Communicate with Store Manager to find out and meet their needs ‱ Always be on the lookout for ways to improve efficiency ‱ Maintain a clean and organized space during production Position requirements: Baker / Lead Baker ‱ Able to clearly communicate with other team members ‱ Has experience and knowledge to mix, divide, shape and bake yeasted and sourdough bread and Viennoiserie ‱ Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, multiple times a day ‱ Ability to stand on your feet while working Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 3am-11:30am or 4am-12:30pm.
