Material Handler – Pallet Assembler Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt Department: LETEM Recycling ABQ Reports to: Department Supervisor Summary/Objective The Material Handler position main function is to repair wooden pallets to desired specs. Essential Functions 1. Utilizing a nail gun to assemble wooden components to create wooden pallet. 2. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions using a crowbar and handsaw. 3. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. 4. Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: • Able to lift 50 lbs. • Able to work standing on your feet for 8+ hours a day • Able and willing to work in an outdoor environment. • Able to bend and lift for 8+ hours a day. 5. Must be willing to accept and receive frequent directives. As with all positions at LETEM Recycling, this position requires emphasis on quality and safety. COMMUNITY SAFETY OFFICER We are a small upscale residential community, seeking Safety Officers for gated neighborhood in western Colorado Springs near Garden of the Gods. Full and part-time positions (20 to 40 hours weekly) available. Full medical/dental/vision benefits included. Starting pay of $15 to $17 per hour and up, depending on qualifications, with a $0.50 raise following six months of successful performance of duties. Duties include: • Controlling access to the neighborhood and managing package deliveries • Providing highest level of customer service in person and by phone • Maintaining safety reports and logs, and patrolling the neighborhood • Calling police, fire, and medical personnel, as necessary • Any other duties as identified by the lead officer. Candidates must possess the following skills and attributes: • Be able to pass a background check as well as pass an initial drug screening • Valid driver’s license • Computer and tablet skills • Communications skills, both verbal and written, in English.
