Our company is looking to add an experienced Press Brake Operator familiar with large and small production runs on Amada and Cincinnati equipment. Must be able to work alone and in tandem with others Monday-Friday (we work four ten-hour days with OT on Fridays). Must be able to read prints/drawings and have a mastery of basic math as it applies to measurements to the thousandths of an inch (.001). Must be able to lift and do repetitive movements full time, 40+ hours a week. Must take pride in their work and understand the difference between aerospace tolerance and duct work (no dis-respect to the HVAC industry). Must have the capacity to use computer controls and make adjustments as necessary to maintain tolerance as tight as ±0.005in. Must have reliable transportation and maintain regular attendance. This person will have the opportunity to work on up to 10 different work orders every day, producing different parts from a variety of different gauge metals. Here’s what you’ll be doing: • Receive work orders with production instructions and work with our Tool & Die and Materials Teams to get the brake press and the work station ready for production. • Inspect the set-up and run quality tests on the brake press. • Run the Brake Press while monitoring quality, consistency, and compliance of the parts being produced. • Troubleshoot production issues and adjust the set-up to fulfill the requirements of the work order. • Log work order progress and provide information to Quality, as requested. • Remove the tool and reset the brake press set-up for the next work order. • Be flexible and versatile to fill-in in other areas to meet the needs of ever-changing bottlenecks. Job Summary: This is for a night shift position. You would be responsible for performing equipment and property maintenance, as well as mechanical and electrical repairs. Shift: Night Shift, 6:00 pm - 6:00 am Thursday, Friday, Saturday, every other Sunday OR Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, every other Sunday Essential Job Functions: • Answer and or research any questions related to the mechanics of any piece of equipment in the manufacturing areas including Bindery, Pressroom, Shipping, Mailing etc. • Give daily attention especially to the Pressroom and Bindery equipment as directed by Pressroom and Bindery Manager or Supervision/Leadership. • When not on specific equipment breakdown or trouble call, carryout various preventive maintenance work and duties on Press or Bindery equipment. • Assist manufacturing leadership in the basic maintenance training of bindery and pressroom personnel so that those lead operators can assist or outright perform most of their own PM duties on the equipment. • Calibrate or adjust equipment to ensure quality production, using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, protractors, or ring gauges. • Always work in conjunction with lead operators and Dept.
