Job description:  As an HVAC & Plumbing Drafter/Specialist or Designer, your primary responsibility is to support the design and engineering teams by creating detailed and accurate drawings using relevant software and tools. Specializing in HVAC and plumbing engineering, you play a crucial role in translating conceptual designs into comprehensive, precise, and technically sound construction documents. Your role involves collaboration with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the HVAC and plumbing systems are efficiently integrated into the overall building design. This is a full-time in-office position. Role & Responsibilities: Ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Ensure Seamless Integration of HVAC and Plumbing Systems. Must be familiar with building codes, standards and regulations related to HVAC and plumbing systems. Ability to take on and complete tasks independently and/or with a team. Timely resolution of design-related issues through effective communication. Stay Technologically Current with awareness and application of the latest developments in relevant software tools. Team player. Qualifications: Proficiency in using AutoCAD is required. 3+ years working in Architecture/Engineering/Construction field is preferred Preferred Software skills: AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Office365 & REVIT A growth mindset is essential. We are currently hiring a Jr. Structural Engineer to join our Building Engineering Division in our Ithaca, NY office. The Building Engineering Division at LaBella provides complete building engineering services including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural engineering. Services range from feasibility studies and analysis through project design and construction. Our engineers are well versed in new construction, renovations, additions, analysis, special structures, and design/build projects for a variety of clients. The Structural Discipline provides structural engineering services with emphasis on new design, repair, and rehabilitation of constructed works, as well as investigation and performance evaluation. This position will work closely under the supervision of a Senior Structural Engineer to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications and reports. Individual must be able to work independently, as well as part of multi-discipline teams. Duties Determine structural loading criteria, perform complex design calculations, and prepare structural specifications. Perform field investigations and document findings. Work closely with other engineering and architectural disciplines. Produce construction documents using Revit (BIM). Review shop drawings, respond to RFI’s and perform field observations during CA phase. Requirements Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with structural coursework. Engineering in Training Certificate (E.I.T.) required. Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering is preferred. 0 to 5 years of experience with concrete, steel, masonry, and/or wood design is required. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and structural engineering design software (RISA, SAP, and/or TSD) is required.
