Overview: Hive Design-Build is looking for a dedicated Carpenter I to join our team of talented craftsmen. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in residential remodeling who is ready to grow their skills in a supportive, hands-on environment. You’ll work closely under the guidance of our Lead Carpenter to help bring beautiful, detail-oriented remodels—especially kitchens and baths—to life. Key Responsibilities: • Perform general carpentry duties including framing, trim work, cabinet installation, and other remodeling tasks as assigned. • Support the Lead Carpenter in executing kitchen and bath remodel projects to the highest standards of quality and detail. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times. • Communicate effectively with the Lead Carpenter and team members to ensure smooth project execution. • Assist in unloading materials, setting up tools/equipment, and preparing the site for daily tasks. • Follow instructions, plans, and drawings with precision and a strong attention to detail. • Uphold Hive Design-Build’s values of respect, reliability, and craftsmanship in all interactions—on and off the job site. Qualifications & Skills: Required: • 2+ years of experience in residential carpentry or remodeling • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. • Willingness to learn and receive feedback from more experienced carpenters. • Reliable transportation and ability to carry tools/materials to job sites. • Familiarity with basic residential building codes and safety protocols. • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Preferred: • Experience in finish carpentry (baseboards, crown molding, cabinet installation, etc.). • Exposure to kitchen and bath remodeling projects. • Interest in growing into a leadership or specialized role over time. • Familiarity with construction software or willingness to learn (BuilderTrend is a bonus).
