Senior Software Engineer (Burlingame, CA)

Potrero Labs, Inc. in Burlingame, CA seeks Senior Software Engineer. Responsibilities: The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and implementing software solutions to optimize and scale the Potrero Labs platform and related technologies. Duties include: developing highly scalable software using innovative computer science and software engineering principles while ensuring proper protocols are in place to rapidly roll out upgrades and new features; analyzing and optimizing expensive SQL queries; executing ongoing testing and analysis of current systems, including independent performance analysis, diagnosis, and troubleshooting; determining design solutions to problematic programming; and other duties as assigned. Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent). Requirements: 2 years of experience in the job offered or related software engineering positions. Other special requirements include: 2 years of experience working with one of the following languages: Java, Ruby, Python, or similar programming languages; 2 years of experience working with React, React Native, and GraphQL or similar data management systems; 2 years of experience working with client/server architectures and application architectures; and 2 years of experience working with distributed codebases on cross-functional teams.
