Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas, including freezers, kitchen equipment, and prep surfaces Routine cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas Sweeping, mopping, and maintaining cleanliness of all floors and high-traffic areas Taking out trash and recycling, and restocking cleaning and hygiene supplies Following all health, safety, and sanitation standards required in a food production environment Qualifications: Prior cleaning experience preferred, especially in food production or commercial settings Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness

The Pocono Environmental Education Center’s dining hall is searching for cooks. Job is fulltime during the busy season. Our busiest season is March-November, with hours available at other times depending on job performance. PEEC serves a variety of guests from school age students and campers, to adults attending workshops, conferences, and retreats. Job Responsibilities: - Cooks are responsible for assigned shift; this means the meal is prepped, cooked and served, dining hall is cleaned, and any other prep work is completed within scheduled time. - Cooks will mostly do the cooking, but must be willing to help out when needed. - Must be responsible for staff and kitchen when manager is not present. - Must demonstrate professional and appropriate workplace behavior. - Must be able to provide excellent customer service for the guests. - Must be a team player with a friendly and positive attitude. - Must be able to take initiative without direct orders. - Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs. - Kitchen experience is required Preferred Qualifications: - ServSafe certified is a plus - Experience with dietary restrictions is a plus Contact us at 570-828-2319.
