This role involves developing a person-centered, evidence-based music therapy curriculum that addresses various therapeutic goals and engages service recipients in both small and large group activities.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan, organize, and direct music therapy activities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Develop a person-centered, evidence-based music therapy curriculum tailored to individual goals. Utilize music therapeutically to address behavioral, social skills, psychological, communicative, physical, sensory-motor, emotional regulation, and cognitive functioning. Engage service recipients in leisure and educational activities through music. Promote activities that enhance wellness, manage stress, express feelings, enhance memory, and improve communication. Provide behavioral support and intervention as written in the behavior treatment plan, including physical intervention as required. Complete all required documentation on a daily basis. Information should be noted in a professional manner. Assist individuals with life skills, including living, vocational, recreational and educational skills. Protects the rights of all individuals: Is knowledgeable about the rights of people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
