The Williston Northampton Children’s Center strives to provide a stimulating, nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children from infant to age 5 years of age. Children and families that attend our center come from both the Williston Northampton School community as well as the surrounding towns. We are currently seeking a part-time assistant pre-school teacher, preferably EEC certified, Monday - Friday from 3:00 PM-5:30 PM Primary responsibilities to include: maintaining the expectations of daily routine & classroom environment; assisting teachers with caring for children in the classroom, on walks, or on the playground; Working effectively in infant, toddler and preschool rooms; Move from one room to another without interruption of routines. Must be flexible and patient. Must have demonstrated experience in working with children in a group care setting. Must be able to take directions from a variety of people. Must be able to lift children weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be capable of bending, crouching, and /or kneeling to children’s level.
