On average, our warehouse employees work less than 30 hours per week. Our teams are comprised of hardworking, dedicated individuals who work in both ambient and temperature-controlled areas. A thorough and comprehensive training and safety program provide the skills our associates need to be successful. Position Type: Part-Time Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week Starting Wage: $28.00 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $28.75 | Year 3 - $29.75 | Year 4 - $29.75 | Year 5 - $30.75 Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation. • Selects and receives incoming stock efficiently to effectively fulfill orders received from stores. • Relocates merchandise throughout the warehouse according to product handling guidelines. • Sorts, organizes and loads merchandise strategically in preparation for shipment and unloads incoming shipment from trucks/ back-hauls. • Performs general cleaning duties to achieve warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements. • Participates in-taking warehouse inventory counts according to guidelines. • Cooperates and interacts effectively with peers, suppliers and warehouse leadership through ongoing communication and exchange of information. • Provides input to the warehouse management regarding changes to improve processes. • Inspects product, consults with the warehouse management regarding product quality, safety concerns and sanitation issues. • Acts and decides independently within the delegated area of responsibility. • Assists warehouse management in achieving budgeted goals. • Performs all assigned tasks, accurately, efficiently, and within company policy and procedures. • Follows the ergonomic program according to established procedures. • Operates equipment according to safety guidelines in performance of essential job functions. • Notifies management regarding product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues. • Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. EXPERIENCE WITH INSTALLATION OF INSULATED METAL PANELS IS A PLUS. Lead & monitor team members to ensure operations flow and work is being performed safely and quality. Work alongside and supervise workers responsible for miscellaneous construction projects. Ensure that crew complies with site rules, safety, and construction standards. Prepare and submit accurate, detailed, written daily reports for the project. Keep the team’s energy and spirits up. Resolve issues between workers or fire employees who don’t pull their weight. Communicate instructions, inspect work, and work side-by-side with their employees to demonstrate techniques or help. Provide assistance to Site Safety, Health, and Substance Abuse Program to ensure the safety and well being of all personnel at the job sites. MUST HAVE: Minimum 5 years of Foreman experience in the construction industry with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor performing general construction work. Knowledge and experienced in carpentry, including but not limited to; metal frame, drywall, doors & hardware, acoustical ceilings, flooring, painting, etc..
