Position: Entry-Level General Construction Laborer Location: San Diego, CA Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $20 - $23 per hour Reports To: Site Supervisor/Foreman Job Summary The Entry-Level General Laborer will perform a variety of tasks to support construction projects under the direction of experienced crew members. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn the construction trade, develop hands-on skills, and grow within a supportive, family-oriented company. No prior experience is required, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential. Key Responsibilities -Site Preparation and Cleanup: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, setting up materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. -Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas. -Assisting Skilled Trades: Support carpenters, masons, and other skilled workers by providing tools, materials, and basic assistance as directed. -Basic Construction Tasks: Perform tasks such as assisting with demolition or basic framing under supervision. -Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and report any safety concerns to the supervisor. -Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition. -Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to complete tasks efficiently and contribute to a positive work environment. We are a busy construction and remodeling company looking to hire someone who has at least 5 years of experience in construction. Must speak some english, be in good shape and capable of lifting at least 50 lbs. Must be a US Citizen, possess a valid Social Security number and have reliable transportation. Must have some basic knowledge and experience in construction like how to measure and cut lumber accurately, work with different types of power and hand tools and be able to work on ladders. There will be times when you will be asked to do physical demo work and carry heavy construction materials. You will also be working with an experienced foreman as his helper doing, carpentry, framing, electrical, drywall, etc. Must be motivated to come to work 5 days a week starting at 7:30am and be on time with no excuses.
