As a PTI Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting railroad crew members wherever the railroad requests. Trip length and times may vary depending on railroad customer needs. Route Planning, Navigation, process adherence: • Must have ability to utilize technology and scan QR codes. • Plan efficient routes to minimize travel time and maximize fuel. • Communicate with dispatch and management to provide updates on route progress, estimated arrival times, and any deviations from planned routes. • Understand and execute internal and external procedures on how to pick up and drop off a unit and store that unit in all production and parking facilities. Problem-Solving and Adaptability: • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing priorities, last-minute requests, and unexpected challenges. • Exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills to address on-the-road issues, such as mechanical breakdowns, traffic delays, route changes while minimizing disruptions and ensuring timely delivery. • Collaborate with dispatch, mechanics, and other team members to troubleshoot problems and implement effective solutions in real-time. Customer Service: • Interact professionally with customers and suppliers providing courteous and prompt service. • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and requests with tact and diplomacy. Qualifications: • Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) Class A required. • Clean driving record with no history of major violations or accidents. • 1 to 3 years of commercial driving experience • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and focused on high-pressure situations. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service excellence.
