Many opportunities for overtime/emergency work. Overview: Ace Glass Company is currently looking for new glass technicians out in the field. We're seeking skilled and reliable glaziers experienced with glass replacement in residential and commercial systems, including fenestration, railings, showers, awnings and other applications. If you take pride in detail-oriented work and can support a team to satisfy customers, we want to see your résumé. Experience will be our main deciding factor for applicants, so we'd like to hear about what you're familiar with installing and what you'd be willing to learn. We understand this is a niche trade, so we're willing to work with applicants who have a strong will to learn new skills. Specialty tools and PPE/safety equipment provided. Responsibilities: Glass technicians must: - Operate a company vehicle to various job sites around the Bay Area - Remove broken glass safely. - Be capable operating glass cutters accurately. - Be familiar with and capable of using general common power tools (incl. drill & impact driver, miter saw, oscillating multi-tool, routing table, circular saw, hammer drills, electric chisels, etc.) - Measure, cut and install glass in windows, doors, storefronts, mirrors and more. - Work on commercial doors, replacing frames, hardware and glass. On both manual and automatic doors. - Have experience working with electronic entry systems, such as mag locks, ADA hardware (operators and buttons) and door closers. - Be able to communicate with customers on-site to preform the work. - Customer service at all levels. Teamwork at all levels. Qualifications: Valid work permit or Form I-9. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Able to pass a live-scan for work on secured jobsites. (CA DOJ) Personal tools and equipment. (Hand tools and drill/driver set to get started) Ability to lift 75+ lbs. Proficiency in communicating in English is required. Spanish, Cantonese and Tagalog speaking multi-lingual applicants welcomed for customer service. Applicants with AADMS Certification are preferred. Over-experienced? Looking for a higher position?
