Established, utility construction company is looking for an experienced, reliable, full time Diesel Mechanic to work in a shop/field environment. We are looking for dedicated employees with skills to work on gasoline trucks, trailers and heavy equipment/construction equipment. 50+ Hours a week. Health Insurance Available! Responsibilities: *Must have knowledge and experience to work on diesel and gasoline trucks (F350 to day cab tractors), trailers, heavy equipment and other construction equipment (incl backhoes, mini excavators and directional drills) *Perform engine analysis, preventative maintenance (oil changes, air/fuel/hydraulic filtrs, brake jobs, water pumps, brake boosters), diagnosis, troubleshoot and perform major repairs *Contain cost by using warranty, evaluating service and part options *Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure proper functionality *Raise trucks, trailers and heavy parts/equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoists *Electrical Wiring (trucks, trailers and equipment) *Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn or damaged parts * Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks and lubricating equipment and machinery *Update vehicle records *Maintain work area appearance and safety *Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor Apply online at tsu1.com/careers or in person at 4007 CR50 PROPSER TX
