Work Scheduled will be • Weekend Shift Friday, Saturday & Sunday 5:30am-6pm (3 x 12 hour shift week, OT is available) - $25.80/hr Position Description (Principle Duties and Responsibilities) Assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and/or electrical/electronic systems to make subassemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment. Fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; repairing units or products that have failed to meet requirements. • This position requires knowledge that is acquired through experience, specialized education or training. • The role has clearly defined procedures and tasks as well as defined guidelines to aid in decision making. • Technical knowledge required is limited to the tasks performed in own discipline area and is considered basic. • The tasks are generally routine and manual. • The job is expected to follow detailed and defined rules / instructions and to make simple judgement in straightforward situations. • Typically requires selecting between solutions already established. A production worker operates factory equipment such as press brakes and roll forming equipment, works on a production line, uses mechanical equipment to create and inspect products, and adheres to all factory safety guidelines, quality and productivity standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Production Worker: • Adheres to all safety guidelines in the production area and in handling of materials in the factory. • Starts assigned assembly and production machinery at beginning of shift. • Makes sure that workstation is clean and free of hazardous materials. • Cleans equipment. • Inspects assembled products to ensure they are up to quality standards. • Keeps production floor clean. • Reports issues or problems with production equipment to immediate supervisor. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Strong attention to detail. • Is able to identify problems or malfunctions with machinery and equipment. • Demonstrates analytical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to troubleshoot production issues. • Is familiar with all factory safety procedures and guidelines. • Works efficiently and manages time effectively. • Possesses physical strength and stamina required to stand, walk, and lift (up to and including 50 lbs.) for long periods of time. Education and Experience: • High school diploma or GED is preferred. • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or warehouse setting is recommended. Work Environment: • Standard 40-hour workweek applies. (Overtime as required by management) • Working hours will be spent in the factory or warehouse, (Minimal heating and cooling.) • Moderate to heavy physical activity such as walking and lifting (up to and including 30 lbs.) is required on a daily basis. • Safety gear, such as goggles, gloves, and sleeves must be worn on a daily basis.
