Fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; repairing units or products that have failed to meet requirements. • This position requires knowledge that is acquired through experience, specialized education or training. • The role has clearly defined procedures and tasks as well as defined guidelines to aid in decision making. • Technical knowledge required is limited to the tasks performed in own discipline area and is considered basic. • The tasks are generally routine and manual. • The job is expected to follow detailed and defined rules / instructions and to make simple judgement in straightforward situations. • Typically requires selecting between solutions already established. Component Preparation: Select wires of specified color, marking, or length, and loop wires between guide pegs on harness board. Quality Control: Inspect and verify own work using visual aids, checklists, and inspection tools. Identify and escalate discrepancies or design issues. Documentation: Mark identifying data on completed harness and contribute to updates of work instructions and BOMs. Safety and Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized work environment and comply with all safety protocols and use of PPE. Requirements Experience: 2-5 years of related experience in wire harness assembly, depending on the level of seniority. Technical Skills: Proficient in soldering, crimping, and stripping wires, with a solid understanding of wire harness mechanical assembly. Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in a physically demanding environment. Communication Skills: Able to comprehend and follow moderately complex written and verbal instructions. Preferred Qualifications Certifications: Relevant certifications in the electrical or electronic industry.
