A Human Resources Assistant supports HR managers by performing daily administrative tasks, such as managing employee records and databases, assisting with recruitment by posting jobs and scheduling interviews, handling payroll and benefit administration, and serving as a first point of contact for employee inquiries and grievances. They are responsible for maintaining confidentiality, coordinating HR events and orientations, and producing reports to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the HR department. Key Responsibilities Administrative Support: Maintain and update employee records, databases, and personnel files. Handle incoming and outgoing HR documentation, correspondence, and general inquiries. Manage the departmental email account and answer employee questions about HR-related issues. Schedule and coordinate meetings, interviews, and HR events. Recruitment & Onboarding: Post job advertisements on internal and external platforms. Screen resumes, conduct reference checks, and administer tests to applicants. Schedule interviews for candidates and assist the HR department during the hiring process. Coordinate new employee orientations and manage onboarding processes. Employee Relations & Records: Serve as a point of contact for employees' HR-related concerns and grievances. Maintain the confidentiality of all HR information. Assist with performance management procedures and employee termination processes, including exit interviews. Reporting & Compliance: Assist in maintaining and updating HR policies and procedures. Generate reports on HR activities and performance for HR management. Stay informed about current HR trends and best practices to ensure compliance with labor laws.
