We are seeking an individual who will… • Be on time to each class. • Provide logistical support for teachers by: copying, laminating, grading papers, creating documents, etc. • Provide classroom instructional help as directed by the teacher. • Supervise outdoor and indoor recess to ensure student safety. • Promptly report student concerns, disturbances and conflicts to home room teachers. • Supervise cafeteria by assisting children with their lunches, cleaning tables, and entering lunch data on the computer. • Maintain workroom/Classroom Assistant station in an orderly fashion. • Attend Classroom Assistant meetings and contribute positively. • Maintain confidentiality regarding student information. • Connect, support, and care for students in a way that fosters student development. • Notice and report positive student behavior. • Commit to modeling the mission, especially with students. • Talk to students in a nurturing way to support students’ academic and social learning. • Stay up-to-date on communication. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Experience and Education. • High school diploma required. • Currently held CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (with Epinephrine Auto Injector supplement included), or arrangements made to obtain certification within 90 days of employment start date. • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer. Since 1990, the Coloma Outdoor Discovery School (CODS) has been inspiring students with engaging outdoor education programs. Our program invites students to enjoy a 1 to 3-day adventure exploring California Gold Rush history. The MRDC Bus Driver provides safe bus transportation for Head Start children, assuring that each child is picked up and delivered on schedule daily. Bus Drivers: Transport assigned children to and from Head Start centers efficiently and safely. Ensure that all passengers wear seat belts or are placed in appropriate (age or weight) car seats and belted in. Ensure that any behavioral issues do not compromise the safety of any child on the bus. Ensure that each child is delivered to the care of a responsible adult (on the authorized list) upon leaving the bus. Ensure that no child is ever left unattended while on the bus, following all procedures put in place to prevent a child being left behind. Visually observe the health of each child on the bus. Fun! Fun! Fun! At the Farm What could be more fun than being a tour guide for school kids at an old-fashioned pumpkin farm? Do you remember how fun the pumpkin farm was when you were a child? Well, here is your opportunity to experience the fun once again, while sharing the joy with children. Part-time and fulltime positions are available starting September 24th - October 31st. You will be guiding groups of school children throughout different aspects of the farm. We prefer those with paid experience working with and teaching children. We will teach you everything you need to know. But you must be comfortable speaking to large groups of children and grown-ups alike. The farm is owned and operated by a Sacramento area elementary school teacher. Weekday positions require you to work mornings starting no earlier than 8:45 am and end no later than 1:00 pm. There will be opportunity for some employees to stay and work in the retail locations until 6:00 pm after teaching the children. You must be able to work from mid-September through October 31st, Monday through Friday. The position will end on November 1. The ideal candidate is loud, outgoing and not afraid to laugh.
