Job Title: Automotive Pipe Bender / Fabricator (Exhaust Specialist) and General Automotive Technician (3+ yrs. experience req'd) Location: Rainbow Muffler 2747 38th Ave N St. Petersburg, FL 33713 Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22 – $25.00 per hour + incentives (based on experience) About Us: We are a long-established muffler and automotive repair shop in St. Petersburg known for top-quality craftsmanship, honesty, and excellent customer service. Our team takes pride in creating custom exhaust systems that not only perform great but look great too. We’re seeking an experienced Automotive Pipe Bender/Fabricator who can build and install single and dual exhaust systems with precision. While your main duties will focus on exhaust work, you should also be capable of performing general automotive repairs as needed. Our shop operates Tuesday – Saturday. Primary Responsibilities: Fabricate, bend, and install custom exhaust systems (single, dual, and performance setups) Use a pipe bender, welder, and fabrication tools to create clean, professional installations Diagnose and repair exhaust leaks and component failures Perform welding (MIG/TIG) as required for custom or repair jobs Assist with general vehicle repairs including brakes, suspension, A/C, and maintenance work as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Work closely with other technicians and communicate effectively with the service team Qualifications: Strong experience in exhaust fabrication, pipe bending, and welding is required Ability to perform custom dual exhaust installations and precision fitment work General automotive repair experience (brakes, suspension, etc.) preferred Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Must have reliable transportation and consistent attendance Certification or formal training is a plus, but not required Benefits: Competitive hourly pay with performance incentives Paid time off and holidays Employee discounts and on-the-job training Opportunities for professional growth Weekly pay schedule We encourage applicants with a criminal record to apply Work Location: In person – St. Petersburg, FL
