ShareWe are seeking an experienced Preschool Assistant or Lead Teacher to join our team and provide exceptional care to children between the ages of 1-5. As a Preschool Assistant, you will work under the guidance of the lead teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the children. This center is located in University Place, WA and licensed for 25 children. Education can replace experience. Salary: 21.00/hour to start, qualifications and experience can raise starting salary. Responsibilities: • Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum for children ages 1-5. • Supervise and interact with children during playtime, snack time, and other activities. • Monitor and maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, including keeping toys and materials organized and sanitized. • Communicate with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns. • Assist with daily routines such as diapering, toileting, and handwashing. • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and other school events as required. Requirements: • Prior experience working with children ages 1-5 in a preschool setting is preferred. • Must be able to pass a background check and provide references. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. • Knowledge of child development and best practices in early childhood education. • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. • Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
