Key Responsibilities: Service Workflow Management: Plan, organize, and control the flow of service work to ensure timely and efficient repairs and maintenance. Technician Scheduling: Assign tasks and coordinate schedules for service technicians, optimizing their productivity and workflow. Customer Communication: Relay customer service requests to technicians, provide status updates on repairs, and communicate with customers regarding their vehicle service. Service Order Creation: Create and manage service orders and repair tickets within the dealership's service management system. Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to service schedules, technician availability, and customer needs. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and updated records of all service activities, including customer files and completed jobs. Software Utilization: Use the dealership's computer-aided dispatch and service management systems effectively. Qualifications and Skills: Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience: Previous experience as a dispatcher, service coordinator, or in a similar role is a plus. Automotive industry experience is highly desirable. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and service department staff. Computer Proficiency: Skilled in using multi-line communication systems and service management software. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and manage a busy environment.
