Warm line Mentor- PT in-office telephone support 3:30 -10:30 pm. (Prescott Valley, Az)

Warm Line Mentor PT (Prescott Valley, AZ) $16.00 an hour with room for advancement - part-time - 20 to 29 hours a week. This is a low stress telephone response position with a small non-profit located in Prescott Valley. The shifts are from 3:30 PM to 10:00 PM. The shifts are covered seven days a week by the warm line team. Position overview statement: This is responsible work in the field of behavioral health to provide confidential peer support and self-help via telephone with persons living with mental illness and/or substance abuse in the State of Arizona. This position must have a working knowledge of available community resources specializing the problems of living with mental illness and substance abuse. This is a low stress work and life balanced position with a small non-profit and works in our Prescott Valley administrative office. Success in the role is measured on: • Model recovery by utilization of personal recovery tools in order to be a role model for peers. • Complete required documentation. • Meet deadlines in an orderly and timely manner. Key Duties and Responsibilities: • Communicate with and reassure callers who may need services to contact the appropriate entities. • Be creative and spontaneous with people to encourage recovery. • Be able to interact effectively with a variety of individuals and groups from varying educational, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. • The ability to listen with sensitivity to the other's feelings, needs and points of view. • Ability to tactfully express opinions or ideas, projecting a positive image of the Company and available behavioral health services. • Use independent judgment and problem solving; to make decisions and take action in areas of responsibility. • Use recovery principles. • Delegate appropriately, and refer situations beyond your training, ability, and job description to the appropriate authority. • Develop positive relationships with caller. Education / Certifications: • HS Diploma, GED from a US accredited entity Minimum Qualifications / Experience: • Clear a background and be free of major criminal offenses. • A current and valid Arizona driver’s license with a 60 month acceptable MVR. • If in recovery, must be stable for over one year. • Pass a drug test. • Verified legal status to work in the United States.
