Reports to: FOH Manager Rate of Pay: Starting: $11.00/hr plus tips Job Description: Hyde & Seek servers are a representation of our quality and service. The ideal candidate will engage customers in the service encounter. Servers will interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience while dining with us. You must be attentive, polite and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Guests must always feel welcome, comfortable and important. General Responsibilities: Menu knowledge including ingredients, sides, presentation and possible allergens. Ensure all tables are set-up, contain necessary utensils, glassware and complements. Staying updated on current menu changes, specials and promos. Suggestive selling and upselling. Anticipating and fulfilling all customer dining needs. Open and pour wine and champagne. Obtain and verify payment forms Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor. Greet all guests and owners warmly with an appropriate greeting. Box and bag take out leftover food for guests to take home Job Qualifications Knowledge of restaurant operations, service procedures and function. Working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes. Basic math skills and the ability to handle money and operate a cash register. Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time. Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 10 pounds. Friendly and engaging personality Able to learn and adapt quickly Education and Experience: Education High school diploma or higher required Experience: Prior restaurant experience preferred.
