You must be ethical, punctual, patient, supportive and able to follow plans while being flexible. Supported living is type of support that involves working in a clients home and supporting them to become the most independent and capable person they are able to be. We drive them to lots of fun community activities, take them shopping, to appointments and help them learn to navigate their emotions and behaviors. We cook, clean, do laundry, shovel snow and everything else that comes with the care of a home while trying to help them learn to do all of these tasks. We are currently hiring support staff with a $1000.00 hiring bonus for full time staff when you have successfully met the requirements. We are looking for both full and part time shifts, and we have on-call! To qualify for employment you must also meet the following requirements: Over the age of 18 Pass a criminal FBI fingerprint background check Have a valid drivers license, car and insurance We provide all of the paid training! RESPONSIBILITIES: ● Teach 5th and 7th grade students in a science curriculum-based program outdoors ● Manage behaviors in full-class as well as smaller groups ● Mealtime duties ● Special projects and light maintenance of the facility ● Set-up and clean-up ● Consistently contribute to the 6-member teaching team PROGRAMS AND ANTICIPATED DATES: Sunship Earth (5th grade) is a five-day residential, overnight program. Staff is required to stay on-site for the full five days and four nights. Programs run Friday through Tuesday. The program site is T.R.E.E.’s Outdoor Classroom in Covington, Louisiana. Two sessions are anticipated between mid-November and early-December 2025. Employee is expected to work all program sessions. Sunship III (7th grade) is a three-day residential, overnight program.
