$1,200 Room for rent in a character-filled, quirky historic home. Large bedroom with lots of natural light and big windows. Move-in August 1st, but will consider holding for the right person. We are looking for a sociable, community-oriented person who enjoys living in a tidy, colorful house. Ideally someone mid 20s to 30s, working in or around SLO and plans to stay in the community for a while. We enjoy hosting dinners and get togethers for friends and neighbors, and want to find someone who also craves that kind of interaction. Think shared meals on the porch on warm evenings, fire pit hangouts, that kind of thing. If you enjoy living in a clean, respectful and communicative home, please reach out and come see the place! DISCLAIMER: the house is very old (1889!) and has a lot of the “charm” that comes with that distinction; creaky floors, old windows, funky spaces. Just wanna put that out there! If you love old places like I do, it’ll be a good fit. The house is 3-bedroom, 1-bath, with a large light-filled kitchen. Washer/dryer shared with neighbors, utilities split between housemates. Nice big backyard, landlord takes care of landscaping and yard work. Located on the South end of downtown, right by South St and Broad. A little bit about us: Gage (30 male), Cal Poly employee, horticulturist, working on restoring the house, active, and enjoys hosting/homemaking/gardening. Ella (24 female, wildlife biologist and outdoor educator) Also, I apologize for having so few bedroom pictures/ones where the room is completely empty, these were the best I could get during move-out with the last tenant!
