Rare and desireable 1970 Mercedes 250C Coupe in Smoke Silver over Dark Brown Leatherette. Currently owned and driven regularly by me, an 88 year old longtime car enthusiast. This timeless design, from Mercedes' classic era, is a full sized Mercedes coupe. The car is powered by the original venerated 2.8l 6 cyl motor with two Zenith carbuerators and is paired with the original 4 speed automatic transmission. This is a driver's car! Mechanically, the Coupe is extraordinarily reliable. It has had three New Mexico owners and has always been serviced by the same local Mercedes master mechanic, Joseph. While the Mercedes is 100% operational as it sits and can be driven in its current condition as a daily driver, there are some things to tend to. The dash cover imperfectly lays over a dashpad that needs replaced. The rest of the interior is in very good condition. The glass is free of cracks. The exterior is in very good overall condition. There is some clearcoat peeling but the paint is in otherwise good condition and is extremely attractive. All bumpers and chrome trim are original and straight. There is one small dent in passenger rear corner above the bumper, but rear tailight covers are undamaged. This Mercedes Coupe is overall an exceptionally straight panel example with no known history of accidents or body damage. As a lifetime Southwest car, rust is very minimal. The sale will include the original 1970 Mercedes Benz Owners Manual and Parts Cataloque booklets in their original Mercedes plastic glove box case. Talk about rare! This Mercedes represents an opportunity to own and drive a true European classic {with open quarter windows!} for not much money. Any desired further investment of resources in this car will pay dividends to its proud future owner,
