Lead Construction Laborer (Bellingham)

LJ's Handyman Service is seeking a lead construction laborer, and a few general laborers to join our team. The current open positions are: - LEAD - LABORER We are a locally owned company right here in Bellingham, WA. Here at LJ's, we emphasize quality and eager get our jobs done! We're currently seeking experienced laborers — professionals with a solid work ethic and a reliable level of experience. Qualifications: General Laborer: Measuring and cutting materials, installing structures, finishing surfaces, repairing or replacing damaged structures, communicating with clients, ensuring safety regulations are followed, maintaining tools and equipment, excellent communication skills, and continuously learning new techniques and technologies in the carpentry field. We are open to training the right candidate up. Lead Carpenter: Tenured Carpenters with a minimum of three years in a leadership position. Efficient, timely, a "teaching" attitude, well versed in construction duties. Requirements: Physical fitness: Able to lift a minimum of 45 pounds, able to stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions, basic skills in reading, writing, and math to understand safety instructions, follow basic directions, and complete basic paperwork. Communication skills: able to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Basic understanding of safety procedures and regulations. Attention to detail. Valid driver's license. Ability to pass background check. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00AM to 4:30PM.
