Seasoned bass player looking for new opportunity. (New Baltimore, MI)

I am a seasoned bass player with substantial experience, excellent equipment/transportation, no substance issues and a flexible schedule. I am looking to connect with other compatible players for jamming and/or gigging. Playing for money is not my primary driver; I am first interested in producing music that I (and others) can feel good about. That said, I do like making money. I am a groove player mainly interested in old school funk style with some blues/70s soul/rock/reggae influence. My favorite music right now is the Taj Mahal "Señor Blues" album. Collaborating on original music would be interesting to me. Not interested in doing covers where the goal is to faithfully reproduce the original recording. Not a slapper.
